On the Bright Side

Hello Everyone,

Well you all know how slow it's been here in Abaco, not only in the real estate business but it seems everyone was feeling the pinch. On the bright side of things, as many of you are aware, I work some evening at the Dock N Dine restaurant in Man-O-War. A lovely restaurant set out on the deck and overlooks the Man-O-War Marina, and Man-O-War's harbour. I must say that we have been busy! They have been very busy during the day for lunch and we have also been quite busy in the evenings. There are quite a number of tourist and boasters around as well as second home owners. This is great as it shows that there are still people out there and traveling around and spending money. I'm thinking, wow, if this is the slow time I wonder how busy we'll be when things pick up! If you are in Abaco stop by for lunch or dinner. The Dock N. Dine has wonderful food and if it is the evening when you stop by I just might see you there.

Also this weekend is the 12th Annual Boat Harbour Art Show. This is hosted at the Pavilion and it gives you the opportunity to view arts and crafts created by our very talented locals. It is a much anticipated event and I wish them much success this weekend.

A reminder as well that next weekend is Sojer Day in Man-O-War Cay. This is our first annual heritage day event and we look forward to seeing you there. Catch a ferry over to a day of fun and history.

Man-O-War Hertitage Day- called Sojer Day!

HI All,

I just wanted to remind you all of Sojer Day (Man-O-War's Heritage Day) on April 4th 2009. This will be a day where we will celebrate our heritage, our forefathers, our traditions and culture. It will be a fun day with food served, arts and crafts tables, antiques on display, songs, and honoring those in our community who deserve to be recognized.
